field. Quotes included are from Fairview vs. Boulder, Bear Creek vs. Chaparral,
Horizon vs. Chatfield, Stanley Lake vs. Monarch, and Lutheran vs. Frederick.
Monarch linebacker Philip Bubernak
Oppponent -
Stanley Lake
On Stanley Lake: "I think Standley Lake is a great team
so we have to be prepared. We have to study up adn watch film. From last week,
there are things we have to continue improving on."
What their team can
improve on: "From watching film, one of the biggest things is all around
blocking. We have to get everyone blocking and pushing people back. We are a
little undersized so we have to play as a team."

Chatfield quarterback Kyle Winkler
Oppponent -
Horizon
On Horizon: "We saw them play against Prairie View and they
have a lot of good athletes. They are good all around. It will be a challenge
but we have to treat every game the same and have a good week of practice."
Keys to a victory: "We have to execute on offense. They have a solid defense and
always have a solid defense. They get a lot of tackles for loss. We have to
execute our tempo and if we do that I feel we'll be alright."
What their team
can improve on: "We have Horizon this week and last week our special teams kind
of sucked. They returned a kickoff for a touchdown and they averaged 40 yards
per return. We have to work on special teams and hopefully can improve on that."

Fairview quarterback Johnny Feauto
Oppponent -
Boulder
On Boulder: "They are a lot better than they were last year.
We are not taking them very lightly. We'll prepare very hard and be ready for
their best shot."
The Boulder players: "I know they have a good running back,
Todd Jones. He is pretty good. That is pretty much all I know."
The city
rivalry: "It is always big rivalry game. We always see Boulder's best punch.
They want to get us and haven't in six years. It will be a pretty good game. We
are ready for their best punch."
Areas of improvement: "On the offensive
side, I need to keep making good decisions on my past. We have to keep running
routes hard. The offensive line did a great job this week so we have to keep
focusing on that. We have to switch up on some mental mistakes that we had."
...........................................................................................................
Bear Creek offensive lineman Tony Bello
Oppponent -
Chaparral
On Chaparral: "I know that they are going to compete and
be ready to play. We are looking forward to it."
The Chaparral team: "We have
been scoring them and looking at how they approach things. We have to be ready
and play the best football we can on Thursday."
Areas of improvement: "It is
just cleaning up the little mistakes and penalties. We would get a big play and
a penalty can bite you in the end."
...........................................................................................................
Lutheran quarterback James Willis
Oppponent -
Frederick
On Frederick: "I have no idea right now. I don't know
about their record of their scrimmage. We'll start checking that out."
Areas
of improvement: "I know our offensive passing game didn't do as good as maybe we
wanted to. The coaches will look at it and find more if there are any problems.
I don't have much to say about our defense. We'll work on our pass game and
completing more passes."
